I'm linking up to the Small Blog Meet Up on Lily's Quilts. My little blog has been around for a while and I seem to be picking up a bit more steam lately in terms of blog visits but it's still mostly friends and family who stop by to say hi.
I'm supposed to write a bit about me and my quilting. Here goes -
1. I'm happily married for almost a year.
2. I am mom to two furry kids.
3. I'm very quickly approaching a scary birthday.
4. I'm a quilter and knitter.
5. I live so close to the beach but wish I had more time to see it.
6. I LOVE to travel.
7. I have the best job in the world and work for people that I love but still wish that I had maybe just one extra day each week to sew.
8. My husband laughs because I say I'm going to sew but end up in my office reading quilting blogs.
9. I feel like I need to have 10 of these facts.
10. I adore blueberries.
I've been quilting now for about two and a half years. Outside of one sad home ec sewing class (from which my mother still has the laughable mother's day apron), I didn't touch a sewing machine until a few years ago. A friend and I decided in 2007 that we were going to learn to knit because we couldn't find any Christmas stockings that we liked. Once I learned to knit, I realized that knitting stockings was pretty far down on my priority list. Fast forward to 2009 and I still couldn't find those Christmas stockings so I decided that I wanted to learn to sew. Quilting classes quickly followed. I still haven't made those Christmas stockings. . . .
So, that's me. Glad to meet you.

Hi Phoebe! I was checking back at Lily's Quilts and saw that you had added your name, so I thought I'd drop in and say hello. You follow more blogs than me! Your quilts are lovely and cudos to you for doing the Farmer's Wife quilt! It's on my maybe later list. Hope you meet up with a lot of bloggers through Lynne's Small Blog Meet!

Hi there. Let me be the first to comment. I too am a quilter and knitter. Both are so therapeutic. Look forward to seeing your projects soon.

ReplyDeleteI had a great laugh about you heading into your office do some sewing/blogging. I do the same thing!
Love your iPad cover!

Wow! I can't believe all of the comments in so few minutes! (I'm surprised my mom hasn't chimed in. . .)
ReplyDeleteHello to Carla and Patti. Nice to meet you!
Erin - I think the sound of my fingers typing is much more likely around here than the hum of my machine. Oops.
Hi Phoebe! Just stopping by from Lily's. I love the name of your blog. And I must say I am completely jealous of your trip! That looks amazing!
ReplyDeleteThere's still time to make Christmas stockings - oh wait, it's August already, and if you are like me, they won't get done this year either!

Nice to meet you.
I love your Mom's comment.
ReplyDeleteMy mom is a prolific commenter and likes to tell me how much she loves me and that's ok because I love her that much right back.
