WIP Wednesday

Remember this wonky star quilt? I finally got it together to piece the back. (I know you're probably tired of me saying it but I'm sorry for the super crappy lighting in my house. I really wanted to participate in WIP Wednesday so I had to do what I had to do.) Anyway, I'm hoping to be done with it completely by this time next week so that I can start on - shout it from the rooftops, people - THE LAST BABY QUILT OF 2011.

Still chugging on the hexagon quilt. I decided that I'd post about it on the first of every month. Showing tiny weekly bits of progress will be boring for everyone. So look for that this weekend. I need to find my Farmer's Wife. We had a spat sometime around vacation-palooza and I just haven't gotten around to picking her back up again. Bleh.

  1. This is why I do WIP Wednesday--to find blogs that are gems. Like YOURS. Your sense of humor and wonderful way of describing your "relaxing" week at the beach (6 projects!!) cracked me up. I totally relate to that kind of thing.

I'm not a knitter, but a quilter, and a total Kaffe Fassett lover too. (Well, not literally. . .). I have a huge stack of his fabrics right now in my stash closet, and (true confession) just bought one teensy little yard more today while at my local shop. It just jumped off the shelf.

Okey-dokey. I'm impressed that you finished THE LAST BABY QUILT OF THE YEAR and what a nice thing to be able to cross of your list of things to do. I know what you mean about showing a lot of little baby steps of progress on these WIPs. But hey--in my world, some progress is worth celebrating, even if it is tiny.

So, anyway. Fun to find your blog. Yay!

  2. Congratulations on your progress. What are you doing for your last baby quilt of the year?

  3. Thanks Elizabeth E! You kinda made me blush a little. . . Glad to have you here!

Tamie - The last baby quilt is a bunch of little surfboards. I'm trying to decide if I need to buy a pattern or if I can just wing it. Winging it usually gets me into trouble. . .
